TheWrap is seeking a highly organized and creative Marketing Strategist to support two areas of the business: revenue generation and brand marketing. This role will serve as a key partner to the Sales team, developing marketing materials, advertiser solutions, and sponsorship concepts that help drive revenue. At the same time, the Marketing Strategist will support TheWrap's brand initiatives by developing campaigns that promote our products, events, newsletters and editorial franchises. The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and project manager and is someone who can turn ideas into sales materials, marketing campaigns that drive engagement, and keep multiple initiatives moving forward simultaneously.

Essential Functions: 


Brand Marketing & Campaigns

  • Partner with TheWrap’s design team and ideate, produce and to promote our events, newsletters, and new product launches.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Support the rollout of new products and initiatives with integrated marketing plans.


Sales Collaboration and Revenue Generation:


  • You will serve as the primary Marketing contact for TheWrap's sales team, ensuring advertisers and partners are presented with the most compelling, current, and effective solutions.
  • Serve as the day-to-day partner for the sales team, translating advertiser needs into ideas and packages.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative concepts and sponsorship packages tailored to advertiser goals.
  • Build sales presentations and one-sheets, ensuring materials always reflect TheWrap’s latest offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to proactively create pitches and ahead of outreach cycles.
  • Assist with other ad hoc marketing initiatives as needed.


Accountability/Supervision:  Reports directly to Marketing VP

Working Conditions:  40 hours/week – full time. In the office Monday through Thursday, Remote on Fridays.


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience within a Marketing/Communications role with proficiency in presentations
  • Solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles including online/digital, product development
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights based on data
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interface with internal staff, vendors and clients
  • Strong project management with the ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
  • Tech savvy: Being able to figure out solutions on the fly
