Position Summary

TheWrap is seeking an entrepreneurial sales professional to develop and manage strategic marketing partnerships with companies serving the entertainment industry. This position owns a portfolio of business-to-business relationships across the Hollywood ecosystem, generating revenue through live event sponsorships, advertising campaigns, awards-season screening opportunities, and custom marketing solutions.

Rather than selling a single product, this role serves as the primary relationship manager for companies marketing to the entertainment industry, helping clients reach executives across film, television, streaming, production, and media.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with companies serving the entertainment industry.
  • Drive revenue growth through the sale of integrated marketing programs across TheWrap's portfolio, including executive conferences, live events, awards programs, print and digital advertising, annual special issues, awards-season screening programs, executive networking events, and custom marketing opportunities.
  • Lead advertising sales for TheWrap's annual College Issue, targeting universities, film schools, graduate programs, and executive education organizations.
  • Develop and manage awards-season screening opportunities for independent producers, distributors, and awards consultants.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while growing existing client partnerships through a consultative, solutions-based sales approach.
  • Create customized proposals and partnership packages that align client objectives with TheWrap's audience, content, and event offerings.
  • Collaborate with editorial, events, marketing, and production teams to deliver successful client campaigns.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of success in media sales, event sponsorship sales, integrated marketing, advertising sales, or business development.
  • Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated success selling to companies serving the entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals through new business development and account growth.
  • Experience selling sponsorships, advertising, branded content, or live event partnerships.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organization, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline.
  • Familiarity with the Hollywood business ecosystem; including studios, production companies, service providers, awards consultants, and industry associations.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 annually, including commission.
