Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Support Technician to join our hybrid team. This role requires advanced IT knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional service to clients. You will serve as an escalation point for complex issues, handle high-level troubleshooting, and guide junior technicians when needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 remote support for desktops, servers, networking, and cloud systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Windows and/or Linux servers, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and other enterprise cloud platforms.
  • Assist with network design, configuration, and documentation.
  • Act as a technical lead for escalated service tickets and client projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior IT support staff.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a commercial or enterprise environment.
  • Must live in the United States.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking (LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls), and security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, Proxmox, XCP-Ng) preferred.
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems, access control, and security systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) strongly preferred.
  • NOTE: A technical skills test will be administered prior to hiring.

$70,000 - $100,000 per year
