OPTICAL SALES ASSOCIATE

Our company is looking for a dedicated Optical Sales Associate to join our team. Someone who will assist in taking care of our patients and their eye conditions. An Optician will achieve a world class Total Patient Experience that both maximizes the retail sales but also supports the patients’ medical needs. An Optician is trained to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from the prescriptions written by Optometrists. They connect the patient’s needs to the goods and services we offer.

Responsibilities:

·       Merchandising frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories.

·       Aid the Optometrist during eye exams as needed.

·       Assist patient frames and lens selection.

·       Merchandise frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories.

·       Other responsibilities as assigned.

·       Ensure that the practice’s optical quality standards are met.

·       Inventory management.

·       Manage eyewear orders and patient pickup.

·       Manage all aspects of eyewear orders and patient pickup.

·       Verify order, measurements, prescription, material.

·       Filing invoices and statements.

·       Eyewear adjustment and minor repair.

·       Work with patients in the adaptation of their lenses.

·       Send orders to the labs and insurance verification.

·       Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.

Requirements:

·       High school graduate or equivalent

·       Strong sales background.

·       Basic optometry experience is a plus but not necessary.

·       High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment.

·       Flexible schedule to meet the demand of patients and clinical operations.

·       Proven customer service skills.

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer literate.

·       Basic computer knowledge; Microsoft Office skills helpful.

·       Prior experience in the Optical industry is a plus but not necessary.

·       Prior experience as an Optician or in the Optical industry is a plus but not necessary.

·       Insurance and billing experience is a huge plus but not necessary.

·       Prior experience in Optometry setting a plus but not required.

·       Proven customer service skills and an eye for fashion.

Pay is determined by experience.

Experience:

·       6 months of medical or sales experience, patient care experience required.
