Your Role:

As an After School Enrichment Provider, you'll play a vital role in shaping the lives of our scholars and strengthening our community. Your mission? To create a nurturing and inspiring after-school environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

What You'll Do:

Educational Engagement: Foster a love for learning by engaging students in enriching activities.

Cultural Connection: Embrace cultural diversity and help students explore Afro-centric history and arts.

Weekly Schedule: Lead 90-minute sessions each week throughout the school year, providing a consistent and supportive presence.

Relationship Building: Build meaningful relationships with students, offering one-on-one check-ins and support beyond academics.

Healthy Snacks: Ensure students are nourished with healthy snacks to fuel their minds.

Inspiring Field Trips: Organize trips to cultural events, museums, and companies to inspire and motivate students.

Your Role:

Outdoor Engagement: Lead outdoor activities and physical exercises during "Harambee" time.

Homework Support: Provide a dedicated space and time for students to focus on their studies.

Virtual Program: Continue our mission in a virtual capacity, ensuring students are engaged and supported.

Requirements:

- Weekly Commitment: Dedicate yourself to facilitating weekly sessions, supporting the partner school.

- Time Management: Exhibit effective time management and organizational skills.

- Health Clearance: Clear TB test, background (fingerprint) check, and full FDA Approved Covid-19 Vaccination.

- Reliable Transportation: Have reliable transportation to get to our locations.

- Cultural Competency: Demonstrate a high level of cultural competency.

- Youth Experience: Bring experience in working with youth.
