Unleash Your Potential as a Client Services Superstar!
We could have run a boring old "Receptionist Wanted" ad, but we're not looking for just a "Receptionist." That's not how we do things here. We're looking for our next "Chief Welcoming Officer" - someone whose kindness lights up a client's day when they visit our offices; someone whose smile and helpfulness can be heard across the phone lines; and someone who is motivated by their desire to work in the legal field and knows they need to learn everything from the ground-up. This opportunity will not be for everyone but for the right person, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for to make showing up for work exciting again.
The person we hire will know what it means to build relationships - not just with our clients and our team members, but with every person who interacts with our firm. Law firms are driven far more by relationship marketing than any other kind. Our receptionist is the first point of contact for our firm and the person we hire will value that responsibility and understand its importance to the firm's bottom line. Therefore, a 110% command of the English language is an absolute must!
The person we hire will have great time management skills. This job will require all of the following:
• Greeting clients and visitors, both by telephone and in person, in a friendly and professional manner;
• Answering phone lines on a multi-line phone system and routing callers to the proper team member;
• Scheduling appointments and checking our current database for potential conflicts of interest;
• Processing client intake paperwork and receiving payments;
• Managing office deliveries and mail distribution within the firm;
• Communicating professionally, clearly and concisely with both clients and professionals;
• Maintaining a professional work environment at all times and complying with the company’s dress code policy;
• Performing administrative duties (filing, photocopying, etc.) in an efficient and timely manner;
• Creating a very welcoming and warm environment (maintaining waiting areas and conference rooms; restocking supplies in the office; providing beverages to clients, etc.);
• Completing other projects, as requested.
Some of these will need to be completed simultaneously and thus, the person we hire will also have impeccable attention to detail, as well as time management skills. The person we hire will be self-reliant. We will be able to give this person a stack of work or a project and trust it will get it done. This person will ask questions but never make excuses.
The person we hire will know what it means to demonstrate prompt, consistent, and punctual attendance, meet deadlines, work independently, and restore our faith in good old-fashioned work ethic. We believe in individual responsibility, productivity, rewards for great work, and NO WHINING.
This person will want to be successful and will know that the massive success of the most successful folks in business is not due to luck, birth, ethnicity, or anything else. It's because they work harder and learn something new every day. Success is not an accident.
The person we hire will be very comfortable working on a computer, preferably a Mac, using the Internet (for more than social media), and must be familiar with Microsoft Word, and Excel.

• If you are already set in your ways and you aren't willing to learn "our way", this isn't the job for you.
• If you are a "whiner", a "complainer", or a "know-it-all", this isn't the job for you.
• If you are a partier who likes to share your escapades and skimpy outfits (or worse) on social media for all the world to see, this isn't the job for you.
• If you have sticky fingers and can't be trusted with the cookie jar, this isn't the job for you.
• If you cannot pass a background check, this isn't the job for you.
• If you do not have reliable transportation, or lack a valid South Carolina driver’s license, this isn’t the job for you.
• If you have graduated high school and college and still don't know the difference between "there", "their", and "they're", this isn't the job for you.
