We’re hiring a Controller to lead the accounting team and strengthen our financial operations. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting—general ledger, payroll, AP/AR—while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and audits. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll design internal controls, streamline processes, and deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s (advanced degree desired), CPA certification, 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, strong leadership, communication, and GAAP expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
· Oversee full-cycle accounting operations — billing, AR, AP, GL, cost accounting,
and revenue recognition
· Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and
reports
· Lead annual budgeting and forecasting: gather data, analyze variances, and
present recommendations
· Ensure robust internal controls, document policies, and safeguard company
assets
· Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and
journal entries
· Coordinate regulatory and tax reporting — payroll, sales tax, and compliance
filings
· Work with CPA firm; oversee documentation preparation and issue resolution
· Monitor cash flow, financial risk, and working capital; recommend treasury
strategies
· Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on trends, cost control, and
growth opportunities
· Mentor and manage accounting staff; oversee hiring, training, and performance
Qualifications:
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required, active license in good standing
· Bachelor of Science in Accounting is required
· Master of Science in Accounting or MBA with Accounting Concentration is desired
· Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting leadership roles (e.g., Controller, Accounting Manager)
· Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
· Proven ability to analyze complex financial data with strong attention to accuracy and detail
· Demonstrated leadership and team development skills; experience managing accounting staff and cross-functional collaboration
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
