Description

Summary / Objective:

Responsible for providing direction and guidance to those on site, as well as serves as point person during project implementation. Provides input into the development, implementation and execution of budgets, policies, procedures, strategies, and specific objectives.

Essential Duties AND Responsibilities:

· Serve as a technology consultant, in the role of supporting the networks and other technology assets of our clients.

· Present solutions: design and install data networks at client locations.

· Provides technical expertise and assistance on escalated tickets.

· Implements complex VLAN and Network solutions at customers sites, using a variety of technologies (HP, Meraki, Cisco).

· Implements and designs SAN solutions.

· Ensure critical issues are resolved to client satisfaction, meeting service level agreements.

· Monitor and summarize the progress of all projects.

· Update client documentation in system.

· Build and maintain working relationships with clients, team members, vendors, and others involved in the projects.

· Record all time in system, achieve monthly billable hour’s goal and other performance objectives defined.

· Display a wide degree of creativity and latitude; think independently and ‘outside the box’ for solutions; use familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures; rely on varied yet sometimes limited experience and your own sound judgment to accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks.

· Achieve continuing education requirements and stay current with the industry.

· Troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and network issue.

· Ability to perform and/or assist with the tasks of Engineers and Technicians at prior levels.

· Other duties as assigned.

* Education and Experience

Four (4) year college degree in computer science or information systems or Technical School, with at least five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in managed service environment desired.

Computer Skills

· Working knowledge of network environments including:

· Stay abreast of technology trends, advances in technology and best practices

· LAN\WAN routing

· Firewall administration including VPN administration.

· Wireless administration

· Server administration and deployment

· VMware Environments

· Mail migrations and setup

· SAN design & implementations

· Familiar with managing various SaaS services, including Microsoft 365, spam filtering, managed AV, etc.

· Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

· Proficient in troubleshooting server and desktop hardware.

· Proficient in troubleshooting networking and firewall issues, including SonicWALL, HPE/Aruba, Adtran, Meraki, and Cisco.

· Proficient in troubleshooting VMWare and Hyper-V hypervisors.

· Familiar with managing various SaaS services, including Microsoft 365, spam filtering, managed AV, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations -Valid Driver’s License with proof of valid insurance is required.

Advanced professional certification in Microsoft or Cisco strongly preferred. CCNA / MCSA desired.

Ability to continue to obtain relevant certifications and licenses.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year depending on Experience
