Office Coordinator

Position Summary

The Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for Orchard Church and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and organized office environment. This position supports daily administrative operations, assists staff and ministry teams, and helps ensure smooth communication and coordination across the church.

Key Responsibilities

Guest & Front Desk Support

  • Welcome and assist guests, members, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hospitable front office environment
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and managing incoming/outgoing mail

Administrative Support

  • Provide general office and administrative support to church staff
  • Manage calendars, meetings, and room scheduling as needed
  • Prepare documents, forms, reports, and correspondence
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate equipment/service needs
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and record keeping

Human Resources Assistance

  • Support onboarding processes for new staff members
  • Help maintain personnel files and HR documentation
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and staff meetings
  • Coordinate employee forms, training records, and background checks
  • Provide administrative support for payroll and benefits processes as needed

Ministry & Event Support

  • Assist ministry leaders with communication and logistics
  • Help coordinate church events, registrations, and volunteer information
  • Support church-wide communication efforts and office-related projects

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented attitude
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic office technology
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Prior administrative or office experience preferred

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • Typical office hours: 8:30am-4:30pm
