America’s Finest News Source, The Onion, is seeking talented artists to join The Onion Graphics Fellowship
The Fellowship is a six-month-long intensive and esteemed program that has produced The Onion’s current graphics team and a vast majority of former artists. For the duration of a Fellow’s time with the staff, they participate in The Onion’s entire editorial art process and are treated as a member of the graphics team in terms of workload and the opportunity to contribute a wide range of visual projects. The publication of a Fellow’s material is always contingent on quality. All Fellows are salaried and receive benefits. Candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Chicago, IL for the duration of the Fellowship. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Fellows are fully dedicated to use their skills in illustration, design, and creative problem solving to elevate The Onion’s award-winning content across all verticals including but not limited to The Onion, Onion Sports, editorial video, features, and any special projects (books, live events, etc.).
