WHAT YOU WILL BUILD
You will own an assigned Columbus or Cincinnati territory and develop relationships that create qualified opportunities. Your network may include investors, agents, wholesalers, contractors, property managers, attorneys, accountants, title professionals, and others serving the local real-estate community.
This is consultative business development. You will understand an investor's goals and constraints, identify a responsible next step, and build trust that can lead to repeat and referral business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Creating a focused market-development plan for your assigned Ohio territory
• Starting conversations with prospective clients and referral partners
• Conducting discovery around the investor, property, timeline, resources, challenges, and intended strategy
• Using approved NCCG tools and materials to evaluate potential opportunities
• Explaining approved information clearly and coordinating qualified prospects with authorized NCCG team members and lending partners
• Keeping customer relationship management records current, including notes, stages, and next actions
• Communicating proactively, surfacing issues early, and following through
• Continuing relationships after transactions to support future opportunities and referrals
You will have direct leadership access for coaching, feedback, and decisions. You will own the network, pipeline, and credibility built across your territory.
YOUR FIRST 30, 60, AND 90 DAYS
First 30 days — learn and practice. You will begin NCCG University, learn the company's consulting-first approach, build practical investor and financing vocabulary, and practice structured discovery. The goal is not instant expertise. It is disciplined learning, strong questions, accurate records, and visible improvement.
By 60 days — enter the market with support. You will map relevant relationships in your assigned market, begin coached outreach, attend selected local activities, and participate in supported investor conversations. You will practice turning information into a clear next step while building a qualified pipeline.
By 90 days — take ownership of a developing territory. You will manage more relationships and qualified opportunities directly, maintain an accurate pipeline, communicate consistently, and move the right conversations forward without overpromising. Coaching continues as your judgment and responsibility grow.
YOU MAY BE A STRONG FIT IF YOU
• Build rapport naturally and listen closely
• Communicate with warmth, clarity, and professionalism
• Learn quickly and apply feedback to the next conversation
• Stay organized when several relationships need attention
• Follow through without being chased
• Feel comfortable learning property and financial concepts
• Work independently while remaining accountable to a shared process
• Use sound judgment and avoid promises you cannot support
• Want measurable goals, direct feedback, and responsibility for a market
You may come from sales, account management, customer success, recruiting, fundraising, hospitality, property services, or another relationship-centered field—or be making a deliberate career change. A prebuilt investor network is not required. What matters is your ability to earn trust, learn, stay organized, and act consistently.
TRAINING, SUPPORT, AND GROWTH
NCCG University provides structured training in industry vocabulary, investor fundamentals, consultative discovery, objection handling, referral development, and pipeline management. Practice, feedback, and exposure to real transaction workflows reinforce the curriculum.
As your capability and results develop, there may be opportunities to manage larger relationships, contribute to market strategy, mentor newer colleagues, or move toward senior business-development or market-leadership responsibilities. Growth depends on demonstrated skill, judgment, service, production, and business need; no promotion or timeline is promised.
HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
After the initial training period, administrative work may be completed remotely. The role also requires regular in-person activity throughout your assigned Columbus or Cincinnati market. The scheduled weekly day at NCCG's Eastlake office is for training, coaching, collaboration, and leadership meetings. This is not a fully remote position.
CLEAR ROLE SCOPE
You will develop relationships, conduct initial discovery, use approved tools, present approved information, and coordinate with authorized team members and partners. You will not independently approve credit, commit a lender, provide legal or tax advice, or guarantee financing terms or investment results.
