Special Event Staff Member


Temporary / On-Call Position


Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour


Harmony Hospitality Group is seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our Special Event Staff team. This temporary, on-call position supports a variety of live events, conventions, markets, festivals, nightlife events, and special productions throughout the year.


Event Staff Members play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for guests, vendors, performers, and attendees. No two events are exactly alike, and team members may assist in multiple areas depending on event needs.


Responsibilities


Duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • Assisting with event setup and teardown
  • Greeting and directing guests
  • Providing event information and answering attendee questions
  • Assisting with crowd control and line management
  • Monitoring entrances, exits, and event areas
  • Supporting registration, ticketing, and check-in operations
  • Assisting with food and beverage service areas
  • Helping vendors, performers, guests, and staff as needed
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the venue
  • Enforcing venue and event policies professionally and respectfully
  • Responding calmly and appropriately in fast-paced situations
  • Other event-related duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Friendly, professional, and reliable attitude
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and high-energy environments
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds preferred
  • Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events as needed
  • Previous event, hospitality, customer service, or security experience is a plus, but not required


Schedule


This is a temporary, on-call position with flexible scheduling based on event needs. Hours and availability will vary throughout the year.


Work Environment


Events may include family-friendly daytime programming, nightlife events, conventions, concerts, markets, themed events, and outdoor festivals. Staff should be comfortable working in loud, crowded, and dynamic environments.
