Overview


We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Staff Member to support the daily operations of our resort property. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in general property maintenance, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, basic electrical and plumbing work, and preventative maintenance. A guest-service mindset and the ability to work independently in a dynamic hospitality setting are critical to success in this role.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance across resort facilities, guest accommodations, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the guest experience
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general repairs as needed
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, or aesthetic issues
  • Maintain resort grounds, walkways, decks, and outdoor amenities in a clean and safe condition
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, weather-related preparation, and emergency repairs
  • Coordinate with and support outside vendors or contractors when necessary
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and resort policies during maintenance activities
  • Support resort setup and breakdown for events or special occasions as needed


Qualifications


  • Proven experience in property, hotel, resort, or facilities maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform hands-on repairs including painting, carpentry, fixture replacement, and minor construction
  • Experience conducting preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English for work orders, documentation, and team coordination
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver maintenance equipment and materials as required
  • Prior supervisory or lead maintenance experience is a plus but not required
