Job Overview

The Nest at Black Hawk is seeking reliable, detail-oriented cleaning professionals to provide housekeeping services for our guest domes. Your work will help ensure each guest arrives to a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with payment by the room, rather than an hourly wage. Contractors choose how many available rooms they would like to clean, allowing flexibility over their workload.

Our guest domes range from approximately 300 to 400 square feet and typically take 30 minutes to one hour to clean, depending on the housekeeper’s experience, cleaning pace, and the condition of the room.

Compensation and Scheduling

Compensation is $25 per completed room, with payments issued weekly. Total compensation depends on the number of rooms completed, not the amount of time spent cleaning.

Available rooms are posted weekly for the following week through our scheduling system. Contractors review the available opportunities and request the number of rooms they wish to accept, subject to availability and confirmation.

All accepted rooms must be cleaned between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and ready for guest arrival by 4:00 p.m. Contractors must report at 11:00 a.m. to begin cleaning and should only accept the number of rooms they can thoroughly complete by the established deadline.

Cleaning Supplies and Transportation

Cleaning supplies are provided by the property.

For contractors who do not have their own vehicle, discounted bus passes are available for transportation to Black Hawk.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Clean kitchenettes, including countertops, sinks, appliances, cabinets, and dishes, ensuring everything is clean and ready for the next guest.
• Remove used linens, make beds, including loft beds where applicable, and replace towels and other linens.
• Dust and wipe furniture and fixtures, vacuum rugs, sweep and mop floors, and empty trash containers.
• Restock toiletries, coffee supplies, and other guest amenities, and verify that required room items are present.
• Check each completed room for cleanliness, presentation, and readiness. Promptly report maintenance concerns, damage, missing items, or belongings left behind by guests.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, vacation rental, or residential cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver consistent cleaning results while working independently.
• Dependability and the ability to manage accepted room assignments, communicate any issues promptly, and meet completion deadlines.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including bending, reaching, standing, carrying linens and supplies, and accessing loft sleeping areas.
