Job Duties and Responsibilities:
A Dishwasher is responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
- Operate dishwashers, hand-wash pots, pans, and other items ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized dish area free of clutter, sweep and mop floors, and empt trash receptacles.
- Ensure a constant supply of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware for the kitchen and dining areas.
- A dishwasher may also assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed.
- Following proper sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and reporting any issues with equipment to the supervisor.
- Maintain sanitation and quality assurance according to company policy*
- Ensure strict compliance with all rules and policies, including but not limited to applicable health and safety policies and laws (i.e.- those that relate to cleanliness and sanitation) *

Required knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits
- Works well in a fast-paced, high pressure, and high-volume environment
- Possess the ability to work alone or as part of a team dynamic
- Possess knowledge of and abide by relevant laws and company policies
- Possess proficient communication skills in English (to accurately convey information or ideas) in a manner that is understood
- Able to proficiently read in English
Required Qualifications and Experience:
1+ Year experience
Required education or certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Safe Food Handling Certification from an accredited institution preferred
- Working Conditions; Job Requirements and Physical Demands / Requirements that relate directly to the essential job duties and functions.
- Comply with all Safe Food handling requirements
- Adhere to all Federal, State and Local regulations pertaining to the food preparation
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90 % of the workday
- Must be able to move or traverse for 90 % of the workday
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs or ladders
- Must be able to position oneself to stoop, bend or crouch to carry out the job duties
- Frequently move, transport, position, install, or remove objects or items that are up to 40 pounds for 10 feet
- Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Work in an environment in which you are exposed to food allergens
