Position Summary
As a Prep Cook at The Little Room, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team by preparing ingredients for menu items. You will be responsible for stocking food preparation stations, following recipes accurately, and ensuring a clean and organized working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Follow safe food service protocols in accordance with Health Department standards
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with company standards
- Support the Head Chef by following directions and completing assigned tasks
- Stock and organize food preparation stations before and after each shift
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service
- Assist with inventory management and rotating stock as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of one to three years of restaurant experience required
- Experience in food preparation and presentation preferred
- CA Food Handler certification required
- Previous experience managing cost controls
- Desire to learn and grow with a top-notch foodservice company
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong English language skills preferred, bilingual a plus
