As the Lead Line Cook (Supervisor) at The Little Room, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals, as well as managing and directing the kitchen staff, including line cooks and dishwashers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

Shift hours scheduled between 3:00pm and 2:00am


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and execute safe food service protocols in accordance with Health Department standards
  • Plan and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
  • Oversee and manage kitchen staff, including line cooks and dishwashers
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Train and mentor new kitchen staff members
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
  • Handle any customer concerns or complaints related to food quality or service


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Four years progressive experience in high volume food production or catering
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
  • CA Food Handler certification required
  • Ability to work in high-stress environment
  • Strong English language skills preferred, bilingual a plus
