Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Greet, seat guests and provide menus
• Receive and record dining reservations
• Maintain contact and communicate with servers, kitchen staff and management
• Inform guests of establishment specialties and features
• Accommodate guests with seating accordingly, based on their needs while maintaining a balanced seating rotation
• Converse with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to complaints
• Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and respond to inquiries
• Inspect serving and dining areas as well as restrooms to ensure cleanliness
• Keep menus and host station clean

Minimum Qualifications 

• CA Food Handler certification required
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong English language skills preferred, bilingual a plus
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Multi-task oriented
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
