The Kingsley Association is seeking an energetic and experienced Contracted Water Aerobics Instructor to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive aquatic fitness instruction to community members. The Water Aerobics Instructor will be responsible for preparing and leading classes appropriate for varying fitness and ability levels, providing modifications as needed, promoting safe movement in the aquatic environment, and creating a welcoming and supportive experience for participants. The Kingsley Association is seeking an energetic and experienced Contracted Water Aerobics Instructor to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive aquatic fitness instruction to community members. The instructor will lead group water aerobics classes designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall wellness.


The Water Aerobics Instructor will be responsible for preparing and leading classes appropriate for varying fitness and ability levels, providing modifications as needed, promoting safe movement in the aquatic environment, and creating a welcoming and supportive experience for participants. The instructor will support Kingsley’s commitment to providing accessible, community-centered health and wellness programming.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead scheduled group water aerobics and aquatic fitness classes.
  • Develop safe, effective, and engaging class routines.
  • Provide modifications for participants with varying abilities and fitness levels.
  • Promote proper technique, water safety, and safe use of aquatic fitness equipment.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and encouraging class environment.
  • Communicate scheduling, attendance, equipment, or participant concerns with Kingsley staff.
  • Maintain appropriate aquatic fitness certification, CPR/AED certification, and professional liability insurance as required.
  • Perform services in accordance with the terms of the independent contractor agreement and Kingsley Association policies.


Preferred Qualifications: Current water aerobics/aquatic fitness or related group fitness certification; previous aquatic fitness instruction experience; CPR/AED certification; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and experience working with diverse community populations.
