The Kingsley Association is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Contracted Pilates Instructor to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive Pilates instruction to community members. The instructor will lead group and/or individual sessions designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall wellness. The Pilates Instructor will be responsible for preparing and leading classes appropriate for varying fitness levels, providing modifications as needed, promoting proper form and safe movement, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for participants. The instructor will also support Kingsley’s commitment to providing accessible, community-centered health and wellness programming.

Position Title: Contracted Pilates Instructor

The Kingsley Association is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Contracted Pilates Instructor to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive Pilates instruction to community members. The instructor will lead group and/or individual sessions designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall wellness.


The Pilates Instructor will be responsible for preparing and leading classes appropriate for varying fitness levels, providing modifications as needed, promoting proper form and safe movement, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for participants. The instructor will also support Kingsley’s commitment to providing accessible, community-centered health and wellness programming.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead scheduled Pilates classes and/or private sessions.
  • Develop safe, effective, and engaging class routines.
  • Provide modifications for different abilities and experience levels.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and encouraging class environment.
  • Communicate scheduling, attendance, equipment, or participant concerns with Kingsley staff.
  • Maintain appropriate Pilates/fitness certification, CPR/AED certification, and professional liability insurance as required.
  • Perform services in accordance with the terms of the independent contractor agreement and Kingsley Association policies.


Preferred Qualifications: Current Pilates instructor certification; previous group fitness or Pilates instruction experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and experience working with diverse community populations.
