The Evening and Overnight Guest Services Receptionist is a new role that is responsible for greeting and connecting with guests or partners as they arrive at the Hospitality Hub YHDP Transitional Housing (28 N Claybrook) and sometimes the Hub Hotel Emergency Shelter outside of regular business hours.
About the Role:
The Evening and Overnight Guest Services Receptionist is a new role that is responsible for greeting and connecting with guests or partners as they arrive at the Hospitality Hub YHDP Transitional Housing (28 N Claybrook) and sometimes the Hub Hotel Emergency Shelter (590 Washington Ave) outside of regular business hours. The youth (ages 18-24) that are staying at our YHDP transitional housing location are generally dealing with stress, trauma, or pressure to some degree. Therefore, a main role of the Guest Services Receptionist is to make sure that the YHDP Transitional House is a welcoming environment where the youth can come and grow to their full potential.
The Guest Services Receptionist will monitor building entrances and exits to confirm that all overnight YHDP guests and Hub visitors have their needs met. Guest Service Receptionists may need to problem solve throughout a given shift and should be comfortable with independent decision-making during crisis situations. This role will be an important source of support for other Hub staff working evenings and overnight.
