The Hope Preserve, LLC Clinical Psychotherapist Brentwood, TN · Full time

Clinical therapist will provide outpatient therapy/counseling services to clients of The Hope Preserve, LLC. We see individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and groups. We are currently looking for licensed and pre-licensed therapists or counselors who are: 1) energized by being part of a neurodivergent, trauma-aware, collaborative team 2) interested in nervous-system and whole-person focused therapy, and feel at home in a non-pathologizing, sensory-intentional, executive-function-friendly environment 3) liberation-minded in that we're not free until we're all free (anti-oppression - e.g., anti-racist, anti-ableist, LGBTQIA+-affirming, body neutrality/positivity-affirming, etc.)


General Info:

  • Hiring for six open in-person clinician positions (Telehealth is available to our clients but sessions are generally facilitated from our office in Brentwood, TN)
  • Start dates range from March through August, 2024
  • Licensed and pre-licensed applicants welcome
  • Compensation is a flat rate per session completed, and paid out bi-weekly with employee (W-2) status


  • Perform on-site clinical counseling services to clients of The Hope Preserve, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work. 
  • Be properly licensed and/or supervised, and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for The Hope Preserve. 
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the The Hope Preserve website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients. 
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary. 
  • Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by The Hope Preserve or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion. Keep client files accurate and up to date. 
  • When necessary, charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by The Hope Preserve. 
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by The Hope Preserve. 
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of The Hope Preserve. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers. 
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn. 
  • Other duties as may be assigned, or in which you may be interested or creatively inclined. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Align with The Hope Preserve's mission, vision, and values. Our marketing to clients is based on these values and it's important that clients experience from our team what we claim in our advertising.
  • Punctuality and consistency in reporting to work. 
  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, therapy, or social work. (Or in progress for those applying before graduation.) 
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice therapy/counseling in the State of TN or under supervision working toward licensure (we will help find supervision if you’re just beginning). 
  • Be organized and detail oriented, or willing to employ appropriate accommodations to help you accomplish what your role needs. 
  • Be a team player. 
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned, or reach out for help or accommodations when you get stuck. 
  • Have strong written and/or verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, at least when communicating with a similar neurotype. 
  • Be open to growing at least one niche market for counseling services, as fits your personality, training, experience, or interest (i.e., neurodivergence, couples, trauma, anxiety, grief, IFS, EMDR, BSP, etc.). 


  • Required license or certification: Current State of Tennessee license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LPC-MHSP; or current/pursuing temporary license actively working toward LMFT or LPC-MHSP licensure 
  • Availability: Willing to see 12 clients per week or more, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by The Hope Preserve.; openness to marketing/networking as fits your personality is a plus but not a requirement

We dedicate a lot of time to our teams, and provide the flexibility, autonomy, support, and space to allow each member of our team to get creative in their role.
