Description

As Uniform Attendant at The Hand & The Eye, you play an essential role in supporting the presentation, confidence, and readiness of our team. This position ensures that all team members are properly outfitted, polished, and prepared before stepping onto the floor, helping uphold the visual standards and professionalism that define the guest experience.


This role manages uniform distribution, inventory, care, and cleanliness while also supporting basic alterations and fit adjustments. The Uniform Attendant works closely with Guest Services, Operations, and department leaders to ensure uniforms are available, well-maintained, and appropriate for each role and shift. Attention to detail, organization, and pride in craftsmanship are critical to success in this role.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in uniform services, wardrobe, costume, or apparel support preferred
  • Alteration and sewing experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and track materials accurately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment
  • Professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform light physical tasks as required

 

Key Responsibilities:


Uniform Distribution & Inventory Management

  • Issue, track, and collect uniforms for team members across departments
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for uniforms, accessories, and related supplies
  • Ensure uniforms are available in appropriate sizes and quantities for daily operations
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to uniform issuance and return

Uniform Care, Presentation & Cleanliness

  • Inspect uniforms regularly to ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper presentation
  • Identify items in need of repair or replacement and escalate as appropriate
  • Maintain organized, clean, and efficient uniform storage areas

Alterations & Fit Support

  • Perform basic alterations and fit adjustments such as hemming, simple tailoring, and minor repairs
  • Assess uniform fit and recommend adjustments to ensure comfort, mobility, and professional appearance
  • Coordinate with external vendors when advanced tailoring or repairs are required
  • Support consistency in uniform fit and appearance across all guest-facing roles


Salary

$24 - $26 per hour
