The Youth and Adolescent Therapist at The Guiding Light Wellness Center provides individual and group therapy to children and teens, supporting them in addressing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. This role focuses on fostering coping skills, emotional regulation, social development, and resilience in a safe, trauma-informed environment. The therapist collaborates with families and program staff to deliver evidence-based care and may conduct sessions in-person or virtually, depending on client needs.

Position Summary: The Outpatient Therapist at The Guiding Light Wellness Center provides individual therapy for youth, adolescents, and adults, delivering care either in-person or through secure virtual platforms. This role supports clients in developing emotional regulation, coping skills, social skills, and resilience within a safe, client-centered, and trauma-informed environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide individual therapy sessions for youth, adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
· Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome tracking, in compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.
· Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and team meetings to ensure high-quality care.
· Foster a trauma-informed, inclusive, and supportive environment for all clients.
Essential Functions:
· Deliver evidence-based individual therapy tailored to client developmental and clinical needs.
· Support clients in building coping strategies, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills.
· Provide feedback and recommendations for program enhancements based on clinical observations.
· Engage in professional development and collaborate with the clinical team to improve treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
· Education: Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Experience:
· Licensure in Maryland (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
· Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy.
· Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
· Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible position; hours based on therapist and client scheduling needs.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
$30 - $50 per hour
