Supervisor: Executive Clinical Director

Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients, primarily youth, to and from the program, including school and home. This role ensures timely, reliable, and secure transportation while maintaining a supportive and professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: This role includes adhering to all traffic laws and organizational transportation policies, maintaining accurate logs of pick-up and drop-off times, and communicating effectively with staff and families regarding schedules or delays. The Driver conducts routine vehicle inspections, reports maintenance or safety concerns, and ensures the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained. Additionally, the Driver supports client supervision during transport, responds appropriately in emergency situations, and may assist with program operations as needed when not actively driving.

Essential Functions:

·        Safely transport clients to and from designated locations (home, school, program site)

·        Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational transportation policies

·        Maintain accurate transportation logs, including pick-up/drop-off times and mileage

·        Communicate with staff, parents/guardians, and supervisors regarding schedules and any delays

·        Ensure the safety and supervision of clients during transport

·        Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns

·        Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle

·        Respond appropriately in emergency situations and follow established protocols

·        Support program operations as needed during non-driving times

Qualifications

·        Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

·        Minimum age requirement (per insurance guidelines, typically 21+)

·        Ability to pass background check and drug screening

·        Experience working with youth or in a human services setting preferred

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations

Schedule & Compensation:

The Driver position is part-time, typically scheduled during afternoon and early evening hours to support school pick-ups and drop-offs.

·        Afterschool Program: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM -  9:00 PM

·        Summer Program: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Salary

$15 - $20 per hour
