Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design responsive, accessible user interfaces for enterprise web and mobile applications.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications using industry-standard design tools.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and persona development to improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business and user requirements into intuitive solutions.
  • Advocate for users throughout the software development lifecycle by applying user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
  • Design and maintain reusable design systems, UI components, and documentation to ensure consistency across applications.
  • Utilize Agile and DevOps tools, including JIRA, Git, Ect to support project planning and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, presentations, user guides, and other content as needed.
  • Organize and maintain design assets, project documentation, and version-controlled files.
  • Troubleshoot user interface and content management issues while collaborating with technical teams to improve workflows.
  • Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends, accessibility requirements, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in UI/UX design, user experience research, web application design, or related fields.
  • Experience designing web applications using user-centered design methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD, Framer, or similar design tools.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and design systems.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including technical documentation and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with U.S. Web Design System (USWDS), Section 508, or WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Experience with REST APIs, XML, and related web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Git and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with technical writing or strategic communications.


Salary

$120,000 - $140,000 per year
