Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Compassionate Care Champion. In this vital role, you will provide specialized care to our veteran clients, ensuring they receive the assistance and attention they deserve. You will also help with the Residential Service Agency (RSA) application process, so being able to be listed on the RSA application is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Veteran Care: Deliver personalized and attentive nursing care to our veteran residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs. Provide specialized aide and attendance care tailored to their unique needs.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each veteran’s condition. Your detailed documentation helps us deliver consistent and high-quality care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with the preparation and submission of documents for the Residential Service Agency (RSA) application, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our small team to coordinate care and provide support to our veterans. Your ability to communicate and collaborate will enhance our collective efforts to deliver exceptional care.
  • Veteran and Family Support: Offer education and emotional support to veterans and their families, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and understanding. Help make their experience as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Valid RN license in the state of Maryland.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a setting that provides aide and attendance care to veterans or seniors.
  • RSA Application: Must be able to be listed on the Residential Service Agency (RSA) application and meet all related requirements.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills and a caring approach to handling multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
