Position: Dispensary Agent

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, the Dispensary Agent is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining full compliance with local and state cannabis regulations. The Dispensary Agent will perform new patient intake and orientation, update patient profiles, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, and dispense cannabis products under the supervision of the Dispensary Manager.

The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service skills, a commitment to compliance, and a passion for educating customers about cannabis products and usage. This role requires consistent attention to detail, the ability to make sound judgments, and a professional demeanor at all times.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and welcome customers promptly upon entry into the dispensary.
  2. Maintain situational awareness and immediately notify management of any suspicious or unusual activity.
  3. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout the retail and waiting areas.
  4. Deliver consistently exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing educational information, and assisting with product selections.
  5. Perform new patient intake and orientation, ensuring accurate and complete profile updates.
  6. Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, handling cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company procedures.
  7. Dispense cannabis products under the supervision of the Dispensary Manager, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  8. Package orders with accuracy, verifying product type, quantity, weight, and labeling.
  9. Collaborate with inventory, management, and other team members to maintain efficient customer flow and minimize wait times.
  10. Record and confirm pre-orders and deliveries in coordination with dispensary and transportation agents to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment.
  11. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and compliments in a courteous and professional manner; escalate to management when needed.
  12. Stay current on all federal, state, and local cannabis regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
  13. Maintain thorough knowledge of all company products and services, including their uses, effects, and therapeutic benefits.
  14. Educate customers on available strains, consumption methods, dosing, and product benefits based on individual needs.
  15. Monitor and provide feedback on customer experiences, suggesting improvements to services and product offerings.
  16. Comply fully with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a retail or customer-facing role
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with cannabis systems or in a dispensary setting
