Glo Pals is looking for a part-time Social Media & Community Manager to own our Instagram and TikTok presence and grow the community we have spent years building. This role is equal parts relationship management, influencer scouting, and content direction. The ideal candidate is genuinely connected to the special needs parenting, sensory play, or early childhood development community, personally or professionally, and understands what it means to show up authentically for an audience that cares deeply about the brands they trust. 30 hours per week, open to remote, Birmingham, AL preferred.
Glo Pals makes water-activated, light-up sensory toys for children. The company started with a simple idea: that bath time could be something a child with sensory processing differences actually looked forward to. Our Instagram following of 60,000 was built by consistently showing up for a community that cares about intentional products and meaningful play. The parents, pediatric OTs, special education teachers, and caregivers who follow us do so because the brand reflects something they genuinely value. This role is responsible for maintaining that relationship and growing it.
This is a part-time position structured to fit a flexible lifestyle. Hours are distributed throughout the week rather than concentrated into a traditional schedule.
Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages across Instagram and TikTok. Engage with followers, creators, and partners in a voice that reflects the brand.
Influencer Scouting and Collab Management: Proactively identify and vet creators who align with the Glo Pals community. Manage the full collab pipeline from outreach through product coordination and content follow-up.
Content Direction: Collaborate with our creative team and marketing agency on content strategy and scheduling. Review content for brand alignment and manage our publishing calendar.
TikTok Growth: Take ownership of TikTok as a strategic growth channel. We have strong engagement there and have not yet made it a priority. That changes with this hire.
Reporting: Track and report monthly on follower growth, engagement rate, top-performing content, and collab performance.
We are looking for someone who understands this audience from real experience. Whether that comes from parenting a child with sensory or developmental differences, working in pediatric therapy or special education, or building a genuine presence in this community yourself, that connection matters more to us than any specific credential.
