The Role
As a Groundskeeper at THE DAILY PERSONNEL INC, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our outdoor areas. Your work will ensure that our grounds are aesthetically pleasing and safe for all who visit. You will collaborate with a team to create a welcoming environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Perform regular inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Remove debris and litter to keep outdoor areas clean and tidy.
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks to ensure safety during winter months.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely.
- Knowledge of plant care and maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
Nice to Have
- Certification in horticulture or landscaping.
- Experience with irrigation systems and maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in landscaping and groundskeeping.
- Basic knowledge of pest management practices.
