Description

As a Part-Time Cleaning Crew Member at The Cove Riverwalk Villas, you’ll play an important role in making sure our houseboats and property are clean, comfortable, and ready to welcome guests. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that requires reliability, attention to detail, efficiency, and a willingness to work as part of a team.

What You’ll Do:

• Clean and prepare houseboats between guest stays, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, making beds, restocking amenities, and completing other items on our turnover checklist.

• Ensure both indoor and outdoor areas of each houseboat are clean, organized, and fully guest-ready before check-in.

• Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and preparing linens and towels for upcoming turnovers.

• Restock cleaning supplies, linens, guest amenities, and other inventory as needed.

• Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, excessive messes, or anything else that could impact the guest experience.

• Work efficiently to complete assigned turnovers within the expected timeframe while maintaining The Cove’s cleanliness and quality standards.

• Assist with general cleaning and organization of staff, laundry, store, and common areas as needed.

• Work collaboratively with our Cleaning, Guest Services, Maintenance, and Operations teams to make sure houseboats are ready for arriving guests.

Schedule & Availability:

This is a part-time position, and we are looking for team members who are available to work at least 15 hours per week. Weekend availability is important due to our guest turnover schedule, and applicants should be prepared to work a combination of weekdays and weekends based on occupancy and staffing needs.

Cleaning hours are typically between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with the busiest period occurring between guest checkout and check-in. However, hours may begin earlier or extend later depending on occupancy, turnover volume, and operational needs.

With the opening of our new Cove store/office and laundry facility, some laundry and cleaning responsibilities will take place there and may extend beyond our traditional turnover hours. Because our workload changes based on reservations, weekly hours and specific workdays may vary. Flexibility is important for this position.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in leaving a space truly ready for the next guest. Because our schedule is driven by guest arrivals and departures, reliability and punctuality are extremely important.

Previous professional cleaning or hospitality experience is helpful, but we’re also willing to train someone with a strong work ethic and the right attitude. Team members should be comfortable working independently as well as alongside others, staying on schedule, following detailed cleaning standards, and communicating when something needs attention.

This is an active position that involves being on your feet for extended periods, bending, lifting, carrying linens and supplies, climbing stairs, and working both indoors and outdoors in a waterfront environment.
