Maintenance Supervisor at The Cove Riverwalk Villas

Wilmington, NC (On-Site). Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt.


Schedule: Primarily weekdays with required weekend & holiday availability as needed.


At The Cove, we’re not just maintaining a property. We’re creating and protecting a one-of-a-kind experience on the water, and our Maintenance Supervisor plays a major role in making that possible. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, proactive, hands-on, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This role combines leadership, project management, troubleshooting, dock operations, and hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all maintenance operations across the property
  • Manage maintenance schedules, preventative maintenance, and ongoing projects
  • Hire, train, supervise, and schedule the maintenance crew
  • Monitor and respond to property damage, repairs, and safety concerns
  • Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the dock pumpout system including pumps, sensors, alarms, controls, and connected smart systems
  • Help monitor and maintain smart systems and network-connected infrastructure throughout the property
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and larger repair projects
  • Install and maintain decor, signage, lighting, and property enhancements
  • Utilize company software systems for project tracking, task management, and communication
  • Support dock operations, infrastructure maintenance, and storm preparation efforts
  • Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the property


Important to Know About This Role

  • This is not a desk job – this role requires both leadership and hands-on physical work
  • There is a physical component including lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, and working outdoors
  • You will regularly work around water and on floating docks
  • This role includes managing trash and sewer-related systems that can be dirty, physically demanding, and occasionally unpleasant
  • Some weekend, holiday, and occasional on-call availability is required
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize urgent issues quickly

  • Experience with pumps, sensors, smart systems, or network-connected equipment
  • Construction, marina, hospitality, or property management experience
  • Experience using software systems for maintenance, scheduling, or project management


Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must provide 3 professional references


This isn’t a traditional maintenance role. You’ll help shape the overall functionality, appearance, and guest experience of one of Wilmington’s most unique hospitality properties.

Salary

$20 - $25 per hour
