At The Cove, we’re not just maintaining a property. We’re caring for a one-of-a-kind floating hospitality experience in the heart of downtown Wilmington. We’re looking for someone dependable, hands-on, and motivated to join our Maintenance Crew and help keep our dock, houseboats, and guest spaces running smoothly.

This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports the day-to-day upkeep of our dock infrastructure, houseboats, and shared spaces. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, works well independently and as part of a crew, and is comfortable with physical work in an outdoor waterfront environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with general maintenance and repairs across the dock and houseboats
• Support preventative maintenance projects and routine inspections
• Help maintain cleanliness and appearance of dock spaces and exterior areas
• Assist with pump-out operations and dock systems
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, hardware, and maintenance issues
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Help prepare houseboats and dock areas for storms or severe weather
• Work collaboratively with the operations and guest services crews when needed
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and dependable with strong attendance habits
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the day
• Basic maintenance knowledge preferred (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
• Comfortable around dock environments, boats, trash, and wastewater systems
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
• Weekend availability required

Hospitality or marina experience is a plus, but not required. We’re ultimately looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a growing crew.
