Perform detailed cleaning and restocking of houseboats between guest stays in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview: As a Cleaning Team Member at The Cove, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall cleanliness, organization, and functionality of our property and houseboats. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene and comfort for our guests and staff. You will work under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager, contributing to a positive guest experience through diligent and efficient work.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
· Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required—training provided.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
· Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on/around water (houseboats).
· Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
· Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed- Sundays are mandatory
· Commitment to following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Working Conditions:
· The role will involve working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate guests' needs.
· The job requires physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
· Work is primarily conducted indoors but rentals are located on a body of water causing weather conditions to vary from calm to rough waters depending on weather.
· Employees are regularly exposed to changing weather conditions including sun, wind, rain, cold, and high heat.
· There is an increased risk of slips, falls, hazards, and exposure to potentially hazardous materials (cleaning chemicals). Strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory.
