Description

Position Overview: As a Cleaning Team Member at The Cove, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall cleanliness, organization, and functionality of our property and houseboats. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene and comfort for our guests and staff. You will work under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager, contributing to a positive guest experience through diligent and efficient work.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Cleaning: Perform all tasks outlined on the checklist provided including but not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, sanitizing, restocking, and replenishing amenities.
  • Guest Preparation: Upon completion of the clean, the indoor and outdoor spaces will be guest ready.
  • Reporting: Any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items will be reported in a timely manner.
  • Efficiency: Complete turnover cleans within the designated 2-hour timeframe. 
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure no area is overlooked.
  • Reliability: Consistently show up for scheduled shifts on time and complete all assigned tasks.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the Operations Manager and other team members, especially when issues arise.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate a professional and friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

·       Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required—training provided.

·       Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

·       Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on/around water (houseboats).

·       Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.

·       Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed- Sundays are mandatory

·       Commitment to following all safety and sanitation guidelines.

 Working Conditions:  

·       The role will involve working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate guests' needs. 

·       The job requires physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting. 

·       Work is primarily conducted indoors but rentals are located on a body of water causing weather conditions to vary from calm to rough waters depending on weather.

·       Employees are regularly exposed to changing weather conditions including sun, wind, rain, cold, and high heat.

·       There is an increased risk of slips, falls, hazards, and exposure to potentially hazardous materials (cleaning chemicals). Strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory.

Salary

$16 - $19 per hour
