The Cove Riverwalk Villas is a one-of-a-kind floating villa resort located on the marina in Downtown Wilmington. We are hiring friendly, dependable, and outgoing team members to join our Concierge Crew. Our concierge team creates the first and last in-person impression of The Cove. Team members greet guests, assist with luggage, transport guests by golf cart, provide local recommendations, and help create a warm and memorable hospitality experience. This is an active, guest-facing role performed primarily outdoors. It also includes light property support and upkeep during slower periods. *Please note: This position pays $10/hour because it is a high-tipping role. Many of our guests express appreciation through generous tips, especially during arrival and departure assistance.

Description

What You’ll Do 


  • Greet guests in the parking garage upon arrival 
  • Assist with loading and unloading luggage 
  • Transport guests between the parking garage, marina, and downtown by golf cart 
  • Move luggage from the marina gate to the villas using wagons 
  • Escort guests to their villa and provide a friendly welcome 
  • Assist with departures and transportation needs during guests’ stays 
  • Offer local restaurant, activity, and downtown recommendations 
  • Walk the dock regularly to greet guests and offer assistance 
  • Give tours to prospective guests when requested 
  • Keep golf carts, trailers, and wagons clean, organized, and guest-ready 
  • Move wagons to the appropriate locations based on arrival and departure needs 
  • Keep track of golf carts, trailers, and wagons throughout the shift 
  • Assist with trash collection and light property upkeep 
  • Straighten outdoor furniture and maintain a clean, welcoming marina 
  • Communicate guest concerns and maintenance issues to the office 
  • Coordinate with Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Maintenance 
  • Complete assigned shift and downtime tasks 


Typical Shifts 


  • AM Shift: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM 
  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM 


What We’re Looking For 


  • Warm, outgoing, and welcoming personality 
  • Strong communication and guest-service skills 
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional 
  • Comfortable starting conversations and engaging with guests 
  • Willing to take initiative during slower periods 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions 
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Able to push and pull loaded wagons on sloped marina ramps 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Weekend and holiday availability 
  • Hospitality, tourism, customer-service, or concierge experience is helpful but not required

The Cove is a growing floating resort with 45 villas and plans to expand to approximately 70. A new hotel-style storefront and lobby are also opening soon. 


Our concierge team is at the heart of the guest experience. You’ll help guests begin their vacations, celebrate special occasions, explore Downtown Wilmington, and create memorable stays on the water. 


This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, meeting new people, and providing exceptional hospitality.  

Salary

$10 - $10 per hour
