The Courageous Steps Project supports children and young adults with various abilities and challenges to ensure their success in school and in life.

​The Courageous Steps Project takes pride in providing resources and awareness for local programs that help children and young adults with varying abilities and challenges in our communities that we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to develop individualized

treatment plans focused on skill-building and intervention strategies.

● Provide direct support and intervention to clients within their homes and surrounding

communities, working closely with them to improve social, emotional, and behavioral skills.

● Document client progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with the

interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care.

Minimum Qualifications:

● At least 18 years or older

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Reliable transportation

● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

● Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a multidisciplinary team.

● Ability to obtain Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

● Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification

● Prior experience working with children and young adults with diverse abilities and

challenges.

● Strong knowledge of behavioral health interventions, strategies, and assessments.
