Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders accurately and make personalized recommendations for drinks, pastries, and menu items.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by delivering orders promptly and with a friendly attitude.

1. Drink Preparation:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and tea beverages following company recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation, ensuring drinks meet brand guidelines.

1. Food and Pastry Service:

• Prepare, heat, and serve bakery items and light café food.
• Regularly check inventory levels for pastries and other food items, restocking as needed.

1. Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
• Follow health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks to ensure all equipment and areas are sanitized and in good working order.

1. Inventory and Stock Management:

• Monitor inventory levels for coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other essentials, reporting low stock to the Café Manager.
• Receive, stock, and organize supplies upon delivery to ensure availability and freshness.

1. Cashiering and Payment Handling:

• Operate the cash register, process customer payments accurately, and handle cash, credit, and digital transactions responsibly.
• Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a café or customer service role is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of coffee, espresso, and brewing methods preferred.
• Friendly and outgoing with strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to [specified weight, e.g., 30 pounds], and work with hot equipment.
