Join CTSA as a part-time provisionally licensed clinician and build your caseload, clinical confidence, and areas of specialization with employer-paid supervision, consistent referrals, flexible scheduling, and extensive opportunities for training, consultation, and professional development.
The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety, LLC, is a growing multidisciplinary group mental health practice with a mission to be the premier integrative health and wellness resource for trauma and anxiety in our community. We have three locations (Bel Air, Nottingham/Perry Hall, and Cockeysville/Hunt Valley). We partner with our sister practice, Get Centered Wellness, in Bel Air to offer vibrational sound healing, therapeutic yoga, reiki, meditation, psychedelic assisted therapy, intensives, retreats, and more.
We are looking to meet the growing needs of our communities and add to our talented and passionate team. If you are looking to be part of an exceptional collective of healers, focused on treating trauma and anxiety in an integrative, collaborative setting, you're in the right place!
The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety (CTSA) is hiring part-time LGPCs, LMSWs, LGMFTs, and Psychology Associates for our Maryland outpatient practice.
We think the early years of clinical practice matter, a lot.
This is when you start figuring out how to move beyond theory and actually become a therapist. You learn how to sit with complexity, what to do when therapy gets stuck, how to use supervision well, how to conceptualize beyond the presenting problem, and what kinds of clinical work you want to become really good at.
You shouldn't have to choose between flexibility and strong clinical development to do that.
At CTSA, you'll have employer-paid supervision appropriate to your license, consistent referrals, experienced clinicians to learn from, and access to substantial training and consultation opportunities as you continue developing professionally.
CTSA clinicians are W-2 fee-for-service employees. This is not a salaried position.
Supervised clinical practice is an important stage of professional development. We don't think it should be only about accumulating hours or meeting the next licensing requirement.
CTSA is building a more intentional pathway for clinicians who want to develop real areas of expertise.
Beginning in 2027, CTSA will launch postgraduate fellowship and specialization opportunities, including structured pathways focused on trauma and anxiety treatment. These opportunities are not required as a condition of employment. They're being developed for clinicians who want more opportunities to learn, specialize, and deepen their clinical work.
Depending on your interests and stage of development, opportunities may include:
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what kind of therapist you want to become. And you certainly don't need to arrive already specialized.
We're interested in clinicians who are curious, thoughtful, receptive to feedback, and serious about getting better at what they do.
CTSA provides employer-paid supervision appropriate to your license and stage of professional development, including supervision for LGPCs, LMSWs, LGMFTs, and Psychology Associates. We want supervision to be more than reporting what happened in your sessions and collecting a signature for your hours.
Good supervision should help you think. It should give you somewhere to bring the case you can't quite figure out, the client who isn't getting better, the intervention that didn't land, or the moment in session that stayed with you afterward.
We expect clinicians to ask questions, bring difficult cases into supervision, receive feedback, and gradually develop greater clinical judgment and confidence.
Building a caseload shouldn't require you to simultaneously become an expert in insurance credentialing, billing, collections, marketing, and running a business.
CTSA provides:
That gives you more room to focus on your clients and your development as a clinician.
CTSA is an outpatient mental health practice specializing in trauma, stress, anxiety, and related concerns. Our clinicians work with a wide range of presenting concerns, and we're especially interested in developing expertise in areas such as:
We value thoughtful case conceptualization, strong therapeutic relationships, evidence-informed care, and clinicians who are willing to stay curious when the obvious intervention isn't working.
You may be a good fit if you:
Prior specialty training is welcome, but certainly not required or expected. We're looking for clinicians with the capacity and motivation to develop, not expecting provisionally licensed clinicians to already practice like someone who's been doing this for ten years.
Part-time work can be a great fit for clinicians balancing family, doctoral training, other professional responsibilities, or simply wanting a smaller clinical caseload. But working part-time shouldn't mean being disconnected from your clinical community.
At CTSA, part-time clinicians are still part of the practice. You'll have access to supervision, consultation, professional development, training opportunities, and colleagues to turn to when you need another perspective.
You can build a role that fits your life without having to build a private practice around it.
We want clinicians to have somewhere to go as their careers develop. For master's-level provisionally licensed clinicians, independent licensure creates a pathway into CTSA's higher independently licensed compensation tiers. For Psychology Associates and other clinicians whose professional pathways look different, we'll work within the scope of your credential and professional goals while providing opportunities to continue developing your clinical expertise.
Over time, clinicians may also have opportunities to:
These paths aren't mandatory, and they don't happen automatically. They're opportunities for clinicians who want to continue growing within CTSA.
The early years of clinical practice shape how you think about clients, how you use supervision, how you respond when treatment gets difficult, and ultimately the kind of clinician you become.
We take those years seriously.
If you're looking for a part-time LGPC, LMSW, LGMFT, or Psychology Associate position in Maryland where you can receive employer-paid supervision, build a consistent caseload, develop your clinical skills, explore areas of specialization, and maintain flexibility in your schedule, we'd like to meet you.
