The Bellwether Hotel is looking for a detail oriented person with good leadership skills to fill our Head Housekeeper position.
Come join our team at Louisville's first self check-in and invisible service hotel! This position works directly with the General Manager to ensure supreme guest satisfaction.
Job duties include the following:
Cleaning assigned guest rooms daily in accordance with The Bellwether Hotel cleaning checklist.
Monitor cleaning staff performance by quality control checks of guest rooms daily using the checklist.
Communicate with cleaning staff about events of the day, skill improvement, company policy, scheduling, answering questions, and problem solving.
Train cleaning staff as needed.
Tidy/organize laundry rooms and storage area to have them ready for cleaners.
Clean common areas in hotel daily.
Inspect the grounds, public areas, and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness.
Put linens away in hotel storage and move stock from storage area as needed.
Communicate with guests in person when appropriate.
Deal with minor maintenance issues when appropriate, inform maintenance staff when not.
Ensure Bellwether standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met.
Other duties as assigned.
All shifts are during the day, no nights.
Must be available to work weekends.
Must be comfortable with computers, tablets, smart phones, and other technology.
Candidate must be over 21 years old.
Prior Housekeeping experience required.
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Good time management.
Ability to be on your feet for long periods at a time and carry supplies. Ability to climb stairs.
$18 - $18 per hour
