Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, support skill development, and help children reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment activities as directed by the supervising OT.
- Support children in developing fine motor, self-care, sensory processing, and social skills.
- Document daily progress notes in compliance with clinic and insurance standards.
- Communicate with parents, caregivers, and the therapy team to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining therapy materials and a safe treatment environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Current COTA licensure in the state of Alabama (or ability to obtain).
- Maintain continuing education credits.
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
