Job Overview

The Community Outreach Advocate serves as a local resource for the religious sisters and organizations who work in partnership with The Avodah Collective. This role also serves as a fundraising support for The Avodah Collective’s efforts to expand its mission to restore and reintegrate women survivors of sex-trafficking through comprehensive, Christ-centered care provided by Catholic religious sisters and a faith-filled community.

Responsibilities and Duties

·       Local support for religious sisters

·       Serve as the local point of contact for day-to-day needs of the religious sisters who serve at our partner organization (e.g., coordination of health appointments, arrange meetings with local resources such as Catholic parishes, etc.)

·       Establish and maintain connections with staff at the partner organization, as well as connections with local resources (e.g., local parishes)

·       Promote strong communication between the religious sisters and the partner organization staff, the religious sisters and Avodah staff, and the religious sisters and their home country congregation)

·       Promote The Avodah Collective to donors and strategic partners in the local community

·       Meet a fundraising goal for the first year (to be determined); any adjustments to this goal for subsequent years will be discussed with Avodah leadership after the first year

·       Establish and maintain relationships with donors

·       Hold fundraising events in collaboration with the partner organization, the religious sisters, and other key stakeholders


·       Education level: Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required

·       Experience: Fundraising and administrative experience are preferred

·       Specific skills: It is necessary that the person in the role has a strong working knowledge of the teachings and guidelines of the Catholic Church, particularly in matters concerning the needs of religious life

·       Licenses: Candidates must hold a valid US drivers’ license
