This role involves enabling reliable and scalable product delivery through high-quality backend development, API design, database management, and collaboration with frontend and DevOps teams to build cohesive and efficient systems.

Mission & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side logic and APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Write backend services using Node.js, Bun, and TypeScript, ensuring clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with industry standards.
• Design and manage databases (mainly PostgreSQL) with a focus on reliability, high availability, and redundancy.
• Build and maintain microservices architecture, supporting event-driven communication with tools such as SQS and EventBridge.
• Implement serverless functions (e.g., AWS Lambda with Python) to handle specialized tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps specialists to define objectives and deliver cohesive, functional systems.
• Ensure security measures and data protection protocols, complying with best practices and legal regulations.
• Stay updated with backend development trends, particularly in cloud-native, serverless, and TypeScript/Bun ecosystems.

Working conditions & Benefits

• Full-time, working from 9am – 5pm PST Monday to Friday.
• Remote work.
• 25 days of PTO per year.
