Position Overview: The Dispensary Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with all dispensary policies and regulations. This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, educating them about cannabis options, and ensuring a smooth transaction process. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about cannabis products, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and ensure a welcoming environment. 
• Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences.
• Provide accurate information about product usage, effects, and compliance guidelines.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally and knowledgeably.

Sales and Transactions

• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with legal purchase limits.
• Promote dispensary specials, loyalty programs, or new products to customers.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation procedures.

Inventory Management

• Restock and organize inventory to ensure products are displayed properly.
• Assist in conducting inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Monitor product expiration dates and ensure rotation of stock.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales.
• Follow dispensary security and safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Scan and monitor all IDs of customers to ensure valid identification in accordance with OCM protocol. 

Education and Training

• Stay updated on cannabis product knowledge, industry trends, and local regulations.
• Attend training sessions or meetings as required by management.
• Educate customers about responsible cannabis use and safe consumption practices.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age

Experience

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a cannabis-related field is preferred.

Skills

• Enthusiasm for cannabis education and advocacy.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with local cannabis regulations and product types.

Job Types: Part-time

Salary: $22.00 per hour
