Dispatcher/customer service representative for local family owned answering service.

Description

Position: Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher


Responsibilities:

- Handle a high volume of incoming telephone calls in a fast-paced environment

- Learn and utilize dispatch application through on-the-job training

- Document and update customer records based on interactions

- Coordinate and dispatch service technicians to customer locations

- No cold calling or sales involved


Qualifications:

- Prior customer service experience is required

- Previous experience as a dispatcher is preferred

- Must possess excellent active listening skills

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute

- Positive and professional demeanor at all times

- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

- Availability to work holidays and weekends

- Knowledge of geographical area for efficient dispatching


Other:

- Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability

- Weekend shifts will be required

- Full-time candidates may have greater schedule flexibility

- Willingness to study for and pass a company-sponsored exam on HIPAA

Salary

$16 - $20 per hour
