Position Overview

We're seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Analytics team, focusing on extracting valuable insights from social graph data to enhance our understanding of customer relationships and business networks. This role offers hands-on experience in applying network analysis techniques to real-world business challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex social graph data to identify patterns in customer interactions and business relationships
  • Develop algorithms to detect communities and influential nodes within networks
  • Create visualization tools to effectively communicate network insights to stakeholders
  • Build predictive models to forecast relationship evolution and potential connections
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Document methodologies and maintain clear analysis workflows


Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries such as NetworkX, pandas, and scikit-learn
  • Solid foundation in statistics and probability
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., matplotlib, Plotly, Gephi)
  • Basic understanding of graph theory and network analysis concepts


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms for graph data
  • Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Previous internship or project experience in data analysis
