Description

The Mushroom Sales and Support team member is responsible for supporting sales, technical support, as well as design of new and existing mushroom products and equipment. Providing technical support of existing client base through direct and remote interactions.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and price ventilation and refrigeration systems for mushrooms cultivation.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Assist in developing annual sales goals for the department and establish strategies to attain these goals.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop a marketing plan to support mushroom division sales goals.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of all types of environmental controls related to Techmark business.
  • Manage customer calls effectively, in compliance with company protocols, to ensure properscheduling/dispatching and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Accurate and timely submission of reports, projects, and assignments.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree or 10 years of combined field, sales and design experience in commercial refrigeration or mushroom cultivation.
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration systems from schematics.
  • Ability to work after-hours on occasion to support customer installations.
  • Excellent English communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to work independently and be thorough and productive.
  • Ability to project empathy for customers through professional, tactful, and courteous communications while representing Techmark, Inc.’s beliefs and interests.
  • Demonstration of good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstration of customer service abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to legally operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to travel via land and air.


MINIMUM PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Physical activity that often requires extensive time standing.
  • Physical activity that often requires lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Physical activity that sometimes requires extended travel by– car, train, and/or air.
  • Physical activity that sometimes requires bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, kneeling and/or twisting.
  • Physical activity that sometimes requires pushing and/or pulling over 50 lbs. but not more than 100 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust and focus, and the ability to accurately visualize color variations. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face-to-face as needed.
  • Ability to wear safety equipment while performing the required duties: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility clothing, hardhat.


MINIMUM ENVIRONMENTAL EXPECTATIONS:

This position will require working indoors and outdoors. A typical work week is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend work as needed. This position deals with difficult personalities (at times) in a highly competitive industry and will be stressful.

Salary

$75,000 - $80,000 per year
