The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining client IT infrastructure systems, assisting with complex projects, and working with other team members, clients, and 3rd-party vendors to resolve complex technical problems.


Basic Functions:

- Implement and support Microsoft server-related technologies such as Windows Server, Hyper-V, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.

- Implement and support network connectivity including WAN and LAN, routers, firewalls, wireless, and security.

- Implement and support disaster recovery solutions.

- Provide IT support for internal company and client infrastructure issues.

- Support remote access solutions such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.

- Respond to alerts and notifications from the RMM/NOC system through service tickets.

- Conduct assessments and document client systems, making recommendations for improvements.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

- Enhance customer service, perception, and satisfaction.

- Respond quickly and effectively to client requests.

- Properly escalate service requests requiring senior technical expertise.

- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.

- Prioritize tasks and follow a daily schedule based on dispatch assignments.

- Accurately log time and notes in the business management system.

- Document all work performed in the ticketing system.

- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.

- Understand operational systems and processes through assigned training materials.

- Gain insight into clients' business strategies and goals as they relate to IT.

- Complete IT training plan and certifications as directed by management.

- Stay updated on current and emerging technologies in the industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced knowledge of Information Security standards and best practices.

- Proficiency in Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.

- Experience with IP networks, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Physical ability to perform tasks and transport equipment.

- Interpersonal skills for effective communication and customer care.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems efficiently.

- Professional IT certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Cisco CCNA.

- At least a 2-year professional degree or relevant IT certifications.

- 5+ years of professional IT experience, with 2 years in a Systems Administrator role.
