Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations
- Obtain and document patient medical and ocular histories
- Perform preliminary tests (visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, autorefractor, visual fields, etc.)
- Assist the doctor during examinations as needed
- Educate patients on contact lens use, care, and insertion/removal
- Maintain and clean exam rooms and equipment
- Manage patient flow to ensure timely appointments
- Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in optometry or healthcare preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
Salary
$16 - $19 per hour
