The Program Navigator is responsible for building relationships with those who engage with services at our Taste Community Restaurant, Arlington location. They are the primary contact for our volunteers, apprentices and the guests we serve.

Feed, Educate, and Serve

  • Have a full understanding of the mission and vision of Taste Project.
  • Educates guests, apprentices and volunteers on the mission and vision of Taste Project.
  • Promote the organization and organizational events.
  • Execute our policies and procedures so everyone can equally participate and enjoy our programs.
  • Build a culture of personal value and appreciation of all our guests and volunteers.
  • Interact with guests and volunteers to promote inclusion and a sense of belonging.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage communication channels with volunteers who are signed up to serve shifts at the location.
  • Review and verify volunteer's shift responses, qualifications, and hours are up-to-date and accurate. Proactively address issues that are causing inaccuracies
  • Manage the application, approval, and onboarding processes for apprenticeships.
  • Connect with and provide continued status updates on apprentices after completion of their apprenticeship.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to invite guests, apprentices, and volunteers to increase their engagement.
  • Facilitate and coordinate participation in our partner resources.
  • Be available and willing to provide prayer and/or biblical counseling to our volunteers and guests (some training provided).
  • Represent Taste Community Restaurant at offsite events that are focused on attracting new volunteers, apprentices and/or guests to our South Main, Fort Worth location.
  • Assist Program Manager with filling unassigned roles within the South Main team, including when coverage is needed for planned and unplanned time off.
  • Assist the Program Manager with the delivery of our meal and culinary training services.
  • Assist Program Manager with coordinating the maintenance and repair of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment to ensure the restaurant is in working order.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 2-years nonprofit/ministry experience preferred.
  • 2-years management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problems solving skills.
  • Ability to interact and engage with a diverse population with compassion and patience.
  • Food Manager Certification (training provided if hired).
  • Willing and able to lift 50lbs., and be continuously on your feet and walking.
  • Willing to undergo a background check.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Salary

$50,000 - $55,000 per year
