Tamalpais Pediatrics is a welcoming, progressive high quality medical practice specializing in the care of children from birth through adolescence, with offices in Larkspur and Novato. We are seeking a front office receptionist who can work in-person at both of our offices. This is not a remote position.
Description
We are looking for someone who possesses strong communication and customer service skills. Candidates must be detail oriented, able to prioritize, flexible, work independently and have superior interpersonal skills. Front desk reception and EHR/EMR experience is a plus.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creating a welcoming environment in the Front Office/Reception area.
- Greeting patients and checking them in.
- Collecting copays and balances.
- Helping patients schedule future appointments.
- Answering phone calls and emails.
- Managing and filing documents to maintain current and accurate patient records.
- Communicating with providers and the Back Office patient care area to ensure a smooth flow.
Minimum Qualifications & Expectations:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both in person and on the phone
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be detail oriented, computer literate, reliable, a team player, and must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work full time Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Must be able to work in our Larkspur and Novato offices
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Bilingual Portuguese and/or Spanish is highly desired
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and willing to receive annual flu vaccines

Salary range:
In accordance with California law, the expected hourly range for this California position is between $24 and $27 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
